At the final 2015 Online News Association keynote on Saturday afternoon,  the journalists behind the Pulitzer-prize winning investigation that uncovered the abuses by local archdiocese talked about their journalism getting the “Hollywood” treatment.  The months of relentless reporting by Sacha Pfeiffer, Michael Rezendes, Matt Carroll and Walter Robinson with editorial leadership by Marty Baron inspired movie producers to show their work in theaters.

“This movie, in a way, is a love letter to journalism. It’s a love letter to newspapers. It’s a love letter to investigative journalism,” Pfeiffer said in an interview.

Actors Rachel McAdams, Mark Ruffalo, Brian d’Arcy James and Michael Keaton reenact their lives in the movie “Spotlight,” which comes to theaters Nov. 6.
