Video: Journalists Think Entrepreneurship

In today’s economy many journalists are beginning to focus on creating their own news organizations, rather than finding a job at an existing one. They are working from their desktop instead of crowded newsrooms, and they’re thinking more about the business side of journalism.

Topics ranged from producing content that is marketable, closing the deal, engaging audiences, collaborating with mainstream news outlets and creating university news startups. Attendees ranged from freelance journalists to account executives.
